Cecilia Dapaah did not fight me, she needs empathy- Martin Kpebu

Private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu has explained what ensued between him and the former Minister of Sanitation & Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah in a viral photo.

According to the lawyer, what was captured in the picture is completely opposite of what transpired between them at the Accra High Court yesterday.

Speaking on TV3’s Ghana Tonight programme on Wednesday, he said “to be honest, the picture portrays a lot more than what happened.I can imagine the picture was taken when her hands were in motion. It portrays a lot of force more than what really happened.”

He said people talk and gesticulate, adding that Madam Cecilia Dapaah was gesticulating while speaking.

Lawyer Martin Kpebu said the former Minister only asked about the commentary going on regarding her issue.

According to Martin Kpebu he also informed about the public nature of the matter, adding that as a lawyer attention is paid to the facts of the case and other legal ramifications.

He said considering what Cecilia Dapaah is going through and the conversation they had, was very coardial and polite.

“She wasn’t fighting me, she was very polite and all sweet, let’s not forget she is going through a lot and needs empathy,” he added.

However, he said this would not deter him from commenting about the matter.
