GWCL’s Odawna borehole needs repairs
The borehole used by the GWCL
Dear Editor,
I would like to draw the attention of the appropriate authorities on the dangerous nature of the borehole at Kwame Nkrumah interchange (Circle), specifically Odawna, near the ‘Gye Nyame Toilet’ used by the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) in that area.
The lid used to cover the hole has long been destroyed and left unattended to.
This poses dangers to the public, particularly those living within that vicinity as one could fall into the pit and hurt him or herself especially during the night.
I wish the Environmental Protection Agency and other bodies concerned, to as a matter of urgency cover the pit in order to save lives.
I believe when this is done, it would help avoid any situation injurious to the people living around the area.
