The Accra business centre areas like Tudu, Makola, Rawlings Park, Kantamanto became the focal point as the Homowo clean-up campaign initiative by the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, reaches its climax.
The exercise was aimed at promoting good waste management practices, improve environmental cleanliness, instil a sense of community ownership and responsibility towards a safe and healthier environment within the Ga Mashie area.
Shop owners, traders and others stakeholders hit the streets in their numbers to sweep the frontage of their shops, homes and clear choked gutters.
In a brief remark after inspecting the exercise, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II thanked the residents, traders and other stakeholders for their participation and entreated them to sustain the drive to improve sanitation within the capital.
