Mega Kharis Ministries distributes PPE to members
The Leaders of the Mega Kharis Ministries International have distributed PPE to the church members and their families.
The Head Pastor of the Church, Rev Sampson Glory Abbey said the items which included assorted nose masks and sanitisers were part of the church’s contribution towards the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
He said that during the lock down period the church gave out food and other essential items to the members and their families worth thousands of Ghana Cedis .
He advised the members to take each passing day as a miracle and thank God for that because many of their colleagues could not survive COVID-19.
He said God had been gracious to Ghanaians especially the outbreak of many disease such as Ebola, HIV/AIDS, Polio, Yellow Fever as well as COVID-19 and its strains adding that with all these problems the Lord had kept His people safe.
Pastor Abbey took time to explain the behaviour of the desease and demonstrated how to use the nose mask to the members.
He said the virus was unpredictable and only God could help the nation to come out of it completely and urged them to continue to trust Him.
“I urge you all to continue your prayers and fasting for Ghana not forgetting to follow all the laid down protocols, be conscious of your surroundings especially the people you walk with to enable you avoid contracting the virus” he advised.
He urged Ghanaians especially the youth to obey authority because whatever happened to them today would affect the church and the nation as a whole tomorrow.

Government, GoldFields, reach agreement on Damang Mine

The Government of Ghana and Goldfields Ghana Limited have reached an amicable agreement on a transitional plan for the Damang Mine.
The operational modalities of the transition involve issuing a new 12-month mining lease to Goldfields’ subsidiary, Abosso Goldfields Limited, pending parliamentary ratification in
May 2025.
Under the new arrangement, Goldfields will resume open-pit mining during the transition period, safeguarding jobs and conducting feasibility studies to establish Damang’s reserves and mine life.
At the same time, the processing of existing stockpiles will continue under the supervision of a joint management team composed of representatives from the Government of Ghana
and Goldfields. The two parties will work in good faith to secure a successful transition and eventual transfer of a viable mine to Ghanaian ownership.
Both parties have agreed to advance discussions in good faith on the renewal of the lease for the Tarkwa mine, due in 2027, and pledged to work together to enhance Ghana’s
