Mike Akox hits half a million streams with ‘Patience EP’

Ghanaian Afrobeats singer, Mike Akox, who dropped his maiden Extended Play, (EP) three weeks ago with Stonebwoy as the only artiste featured on it, has hit over 500,000 streams across digital platforms.

The elated singer disclosed this  in an interview with Caleb Nii Boye on Starr FM last Sunday and monitored by this paper. He released his ‘Patience’ EP on Friday, January 15, this year.

According to Mike, as a perfectionist, he took his time to work on this project and ensured all the necessary ingredients were in their rightful place.

“Getting Stonebwoy for a feature in these times is like searching for needle in the sea but I made that possible and even shot a music video with him on the featured song “SuperMario”,” he said.

The concept of the song pays homage to Mario Balotelli, the Ghanaian-Italian Footballer who has struggled through a lot but still lives his dream and breaks through every situation.

Mike Akox has recorded with American Pop Singer, Sean Kingston, and shared stages with Stonebwoy and Kranium.
