After nearly two years of birthing the idea of a chat show, Lankai Quarcopome, affectionately called Miss Lankai in the showbiz circles, has premiered her much awaited ‘The Lankai Show’ Living The Dream.
According to her, the concept is a Multifaceted Personality and Lifestyle show used as a platform to inspire, educate, entertain and empower viewers, hoping to provide them with a positive uplifting experience.
She enumerated that, the wonderful array of guests who joins Miss Lankai on her maiden cruise include; actors, entrepreneurs, designers, models, musicians and amateurs with creative minds who have a vision and would like to showcase their talents, and much more.
The Actress cum singer and a TV hostess in an interview with The Spectator was more excited to finally see her one-of-a-kind chat show come to reality.
Miss Lankai, had a passion for singing at an early age, she decided to move away from Accra to live in Paris when her passion for fashion, music and entertainment became so strong.
Asked about how long it took to put together such a quality and high standard production which was shot mostly onboard the MV Dodi Princess at Akosombo and the major challenges she encountered, this is what she said ‘It took us about two years to put it all together but it’s been worth it in the end. The major challenge in getting the show on air is not getting financial support in the form of sponsorship, and to overcome it, I decided to put my money where my mouth is and sponsor everything myself with the hope of attracting potential sponsors for the next seasons’.
Miss Lankai is very happy about the role women are playing in showbiz currently because s not too long ago, the entertainment industry over here in Ghana was practically non-existent for females because of people’s mentality but it’s much better now.
She commended Leonie Kumi who helped shape the concept of the show, her production team, Advisors and Pascaline Edwards for her lovely wardrobe and to anyone who dreams of embarking on any showbiz career.
Miss Lankai admonished all that “never give up on your dreams as winners never quit and quitters never win”.
