The 33rd Annual National Convention of the United Faith Tabernacle Church (UFTC) was held at New Bethlehem at Nsawam, its national headquarters.
The four-day programme brought together hundreds of its members and the clergy from various parts of the country including Ashanti, Bono, Central, Eastern, Greater Accra and Western regions.
There was also a strong representation from the West Africa neighbours including Cote d’Ivoire.
It was under the theme; “The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways.”
The congregation sang, praised and prayed to God thanking Him for His guidance and protection upon the church and the nation.
In his sermon, the leader of UFTC, Prophetess Mercy Ataa Nkansah III, said it was important for Christians to continue to preach about peace for the development of the country.
She, therefore, tasked believers to study and abide by the word of God as it was the only way to open all closed opportunities in one’s life.
Prophetess Ataa Nkansah noted that the land of Ghana cannot be fertile without God’s intervention.
As children of God, she said, “we must at all times show gratitude to God and celebrate His goodness.”
