Makeup Ghana’s Africa Makeup & Beauty Fair opens
Makeup Ghana a social enterprise through its Beauty & Entrepreneurship Summit, yesterday officially opened Africa Makeup & Beauty Fair.
The opening ceremony took place at the Avenue, Unique Flora Centre Tse-Addo.
The Africa Makeup and Beauty Fair popularly known as AMB Fair is a beauty event organized annually to connect key stakeholders.
This year’s event which was slated for September 21&22, is made up of exhibitions, beauty shows, beauty business forums, live demos, barber’s summit, glam corner, workshops and seminars
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the founder of AMB Fair, Rebecca Donkor said the event started 7 years ago, when a dream of uniting people in the beauty industry to create opportunities was born.
She said this was aimed at creating a platform for industry players to showcase their products, learn and grow together as one.
Madam Rebecca Donkor revealed that the event attracted brands and exhibitors from other countries who have seen the need to participate.
“Today, we have brands coming from Togo, Nigeria and Benin among others participating in the exhibition, “She said.
According to her, if the platform had not been created participants wouldn’t have seen the opportunity to leverage it.
“If you are home and you love fashion, wellness, makeup, skincare and anything in the beauty ecosystem don’t be at home come to the Avenue at Tsado,” she urged Ghanaians.
She noted that there would be Masterclass sessions to touch on topics like branding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addition to interesting topics.
Rebecca Donkor expressed appreciation to her team for their tremendous efforts successful every year.
The Paramount Chief of Nandom Traditional Area in the Upper West Region, Prof Edmund Delle, on his part said, it is scientifically proven that the skin is the biggest organ and must be treated with a lot of care.
He urged stakeholders to always remember to add an African touch to their works, looks and everything because black is beautiful.
AMB Fair, an annual programme has over the years seen Brands/Product Manufacturers, Wholesalers and Retailers of Beauty Products, Service Providers/Practitioners, Beauty Training Institutions, Consumers of Beauty Products and Services, the Media, Regulators and other relevant stakeholders in the Beauty Industry across and beyond the African continent to trade, interact and share ideas for the betterment of the industry.
