Afua Asantewaa announces second attempt to break sing-a-thon record

Ghanaian entrepreneur and former Guinness World Records contender Afua Asantewaa, has officially announced her intention to attempt the ‘longest singing marathon by an individual’ for the second time.
Afua disclosed that the event would take place from December 21, 2024 in Kumasi.
The entrepreneur expressed her excitement about the upcoming attempt, although she did not disclose the exact number of days the event will span.
Meanwhile, many netizens including celebrities have expressed their support and joy at Afua’s decision to try again.
Some have praised her determination, commending her for not giving up on her dreams.
Afua Asantewaa initially attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘longest singing marathon by an individual’ in 2023.
The event, which took place from December 24 to 29, in 2023, received massive support from Ghanaians both at home and abroad.
Although the event was conducted successfully, Afua was not officially recognised for the record.
According to Guinness World Records, her attempt was disqualified due to breaches of certain guidelines.

Rising music sensation Daasebreba Kwame has been crowned Artiste of the Year at the 2024 Eastern Music Awards held at the Koforidua Cultural Centre.
