‘21 Epistles of a Hero’ honours S.K. Ampiah

Elder Samuel Kofi Ampiah

At age 98, Elder Samuel Kofi Ampiah, a renowned Ghanaian music composer of hundreds of popular songs has been honoured with the launch of his maiden book.

Titled “Retrospect: 21 Epistles of a Hero,” the book takes the reader on an inspiring journey of discovering over 60 years of the honoree’s expe­riences, gleaning lessons to enlighten the paths of younger generations.

Hosted on Saturday, January 7, 2023, by the Predecessors Awards Worldwide – a network of Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations (RAIN Foundations), the launch attracted delegates from The Apostolic Church- Ghana where Elder S.K. Ampiah had served for over 60 years.

The Global President of Rain Foundations, Mr. George Kingsley Acquah ESQ, President of the Prede­cessors Awards Worldwide, Mr. Den­nis Agyeman, and his Vice, Madam Ruby Okine, took turns to address the guests.

Speaking to the Founding President of Rain Foundations and bestselling author, Raphaelle Antwi, said the launch was “the beginning of many book launches to come”.

He explained that a significant part of the Prestigious Annual Prede­cessors Awards was to immortalise the legacies of the honourees by writing and publishing of books that told the stories.

The organisation, he added, would be pub­lishing and launching many more books for various predecessors this year – in Ghana and abroad.

The Prestigious Annual Predecessors Awards will be held this year in Ghana, France, UK, South Africa, and USA.

Dzifa Gomashie appointed Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Designate

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Abla Dzifa Gomashie as Minister Designate for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

Dzifa Gomashie was the former Deputy Minister of the sector under the erstwhile John Mahama government.

The President sent the list of his next batch of ministerial appointments to Parliament through the Speaker.

Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie is a politician and creative arts expert with decades of experience in advocacy and youth leadership.

As the two-term Member of Parliament for the Ketu South Constituency, she has championed development and community support initiatives.

She previously served as Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, where she championed the promotion of Ghanaian culture and tourism through theatre arts, a lifelong passion that has endeared her to Ghanaians at home and abroad.

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (First Class) and an MPhil In African Studies from the University of Ghana and an Honorary Doctor of Leadership from the Global Center for Transformational Leadership.

President Mahama appoints Kwame Agbodza as Minister for Roads and Highways Designate

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Kwame Governs Agbodza as minister for Roads and Highways Designate.

He is expected to help the President deliver on the ressetting Ghana agenda.

Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza is a Ghanaian architect and politician with extensive experience in architectural design and project management.

A chartered architect, he earned his qualifications from KNUST, Westminster University, and East London University.

As Principal Consultant at Kay + Partners Ltd., he has managed major projects in healthcare, education, and residential development across Ghana and the UK.

Since 2013, he has been the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, rising through parliamentary ranks as Deputy Ranking Member, Ranking Member, Minority Chief Whip, and now Majority Chief Whip of the 9th Parliament.

He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and

the Ghana Institute of Architects.
